Really scary but not bad

Okay to start of I thought that this movie since it was so old, was going to be like really not realistic. If you know what I mean. To my surprise and my mom, dad and sister it was really scary. Which is really weird being I love shark movies and I'm also terrified of them lol. But this was really violent. In fact it was so scary that my sister slept in my moms closet for 2 weeks. The reason that it was violent was because they show everything. People body parts and people being dragged through the water as they are getting eaten alive. No joke blood squirts. Also I think if I remember correctly the shark ate a dog. Which made me so mad because I love animals. So if your one of those animal lovers like me then just skip the scene unless you don't want to watch it cause of that. Now going back to the violent stuff lets talk about the shark. Now is it just me or is the shark in jaws horrorifiing. Its is so scary that when I saw it for the first time eating a guy alive. I jerked my head to look away really fast and I could not move my neck for a whole 10 minutes cause it hurt so bad. Its really weird that I'm scared of this movie because I have seen like 15 shark movies. Like Shark night, both 47 meters down, the shallows and the met and many more. And still this one freaked me out the most. But if blood, gore, screaming terror and suffering shark movies are your kind of movie then this is perfect for you. Overall this movie isn't to bad of a movie its just the violence that is the worst of it.

Jaws is A really good movie but!

Please don't listen to those 7+ reviews they are foolish this movie is NOT for 7 year olds this movie contains Scenes where humans are eaten alive by a shark and things like blood and gore, There is a scene where a man On the beach gets Eaten and he is screaming in pain and you also see his torn leg fall to the bottom of the ocean, And the worst scene is when two of the main characters find an abandoned and banged up boat at nighttime And one of them dives underwater to have a closer look at the boat He finds a hole in the boat and looks at it for some time and then suddenly A dead head pops out of the hole as a jumpscare One of his eyelids are missing and his other eye Is gone and this scene can give younger audiences nightmares and as a 13 year old guy it scared me too! THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR KIDS!

A bit of violence for 8-15 year olds

I watched jaws with my Mum when I was just 10 years old. Overall it’s one of my favourite movies! But keep in mind that jaws has a lot of gore, like a mans leg is torn of and you can see it sink to the ocean floor as he tries to save 3 boys, a skinny dipper is vulnerably bitten and dragged underwater (in my opinion the scariest part) a small boy is eaten and explodes into a fountain of blood, and a sailor is bitten on the waist and gurgles on his own blood. But you need to be aware that a dog does die in this but is is thankfully not shown on screen. There is a bit of nudity and alcohol but it is the violence you need to worry about. Thank you for reading my review.

An OK movie

It’s a good movie by itself but I hate how they represent sharks like their monsters. We should all respect sharks, too over-the-top sharks do not do anything on purpose. It’s only if I feel threatened or mistake you for a seal that I would ever attack you add more sharks will let go immediately once they realize.

Good movie

OK, lets get this straight, Jaws is an amazing horror movie. BUT it does have some graphic scenes. There are numerous shark attacks, and although you don't see blood in the first one, the later ones are pretty graphic, including photographs of the attacks. Near the beginning however, there is a teenage party with all the works, drugs smoking, alcohol. The swearing is not too bad and most 12 year olds will hear language like this around school so its kinda counter active. There is one mildly sexual scene, a girl skinny dipping. It isn't too bad however, because you can't really see anything. Honestly this movie is not that scary. It's 1975, special effect aren't the greatest nor the most convincing. The scariest part is probably the suspense (music!!!) and realism: this could happen in real life. Before you pee your pants though, I watched this movie when I was 10 and I went to the beach and swam in the ocean. I am not scared of sharks and neither is my 9 year old sister who watched it. As long as your child can grasp the concept that sharks like this do not exist and shark attacks are not common, I think they'll be fine.

Not Really That Great

This was my very first horror film and I watched it when I was probably fourteen. It was meh. The violence wasn't very extreme, there was a bit to much sexiness, and the language was kind of annoying. The story and plot were alright, and the puppet shark was kind of funny. It really isn't that worth it.

This is a lot worse than Jurassic Park

I watched Jurassic Park when I was nine and my eleven year old brother was quite scared, but I wasn’t. I have wanted to watch this film for a while now and when I did watch it, I was very surprised common sense rated it 13+. What is wrong with this site? Why rate Avengers: Endgame 13+ when there’s barely any gore and rate this the same?! Characters are seen killed in frequent gory deaths in Jaws and another dead person is shown with his eye popping out. This is quite gory, but overall a great movie to watch!
