Best thing here is the cover.
I hated it since the first pages.
He’s basically 36 and he talks dirty but not in a sexy way.
You can’t talk to a woman out of bedroom and make reference to sex every two seconds.
It’s not sexy, it’s rude and disgusting.
It’s immature.
He sounds like a 11 yo who has just found out there are dirty words and he wants to use them.
And their first meeting? She’s 18 and he tells her he wants to eat her p***y. What? Are u serious???
I would have run like the wind.
Then they- obviously- have sex and oh sadly! He finds out she’s his client’s lil sister so, no, she’s forbidden and he dumps her like garbage because he doesn’t want to ruin his relationship with her brother.
So her brother is more important than her.
And then he marries her roommate who’s pregnant.
8 years later.
The heroine hasn’t moved on while the hero had two children with ow.
Really?
This is pure masochism.
She’s the ultimate doormat.
He admits he basically had only twice sex with his wife but he doesn’t remember anything because he was too drunk.
Really?
Is it a joke?
Has he married the fertility goddess? Two fu##s two children???
And he’s still the rude and awful idiot as ten years before.
Turns out his children are not his and he never had sex with ow.
Now he’s divorced and the heroine should marry him and his two children.
Never in my lifetime.
What I could not forgive him wasn’t his supposed cheating with ow but the fact he dumped her because he wouldn’t risk losing her brother as a client. Oh the brother is not a mob boss who would kill her and the hero. He’s only a lil possessive with her, so if the hero loved her and was serious about her, big bruh would have accepted their love, eventually. So the hero dumping her was preposterous.
Sadly she’s second best to her brother not to ow.
And his dirty talking is disgusting not sexy, and I’m not a prude.
One of the worst books I’ve read recently.

”Mind. Body. Soul. I belong to you.”
I confess I've been looking forward to Caleb and Evie’s story ever since the ending of Second Chance Scandal. Brother’s best friend (or best-friend’s brother) is one of my favorites and it always brings all the tension, and the sex. As it did here. Monica really knows how to add drama and angst to a book.

”I tucked my face into the nook of his neck. His kindness. His patience. His gentleness. His love. It was perfect. He was perfect.”
If you’re into alpha, sexy heroes, Caleb is pretty perfect. He’s protective, has a dirty mouth, is grumpy and he definitely has some bedroom skills! However, he also makes some very doubtful choices. I was on the fence about him during a lot of the book because I didn’t really get him, but also because he pursued Evie, scaring all other guys away, only to break her heart. That didn’t sit well with me at all. But when the whole story comes to light, and with the ending, I feel like he redeemed himself.

”She had the power to bring me to my knees.”
To be honest, I didn’t like Evie that much. She seemed like a strong character and she was definitely sassy and gave as good as she got, but she was too permissive in my opinion. I wished she would have stood up for herself a lot more when it came to her brother and his possessiveness - OK, it comes from a good place because he wants to protect her, but enough is enough. I did like that she came on to Caleb, though, and that she always knew what she wanted.

”I hate that you made me feel so alone for so many years! I hate that I missed you every single day you weren't with me!”
Evie and Caleb met at a party when he protected her from a creepy guy who wanted to take advantage of her. They had a one-night stand and established a connection then and there, unaware that he was her brother’s agent and best friend. Once they realize that, Caleb pretends he doesn’t know her in front of her brother, and he retreats, but what they have can’t just be brushed aside. That is, until he breaks her heart by saying he’s marrying her roommate. No explanation. Just heartache.
Life carried on for Evie, but she never fully recovered, or forgot about him.

”Touch me like you're never going to let me go.”
Years later, and as we could see in the previous book in the series, they find themselves in bed together again. Evie now owns a recruitment agent that Caleb’s using to find a nanny for his kids. Looking to keep her business’ reputation, Evie becomes that nanny, and travels with him and the kids to Spain. Nothing would ever be the same after that.

”I know where to finger-f*ck you, Evie. I'm the man who taught you everything you beg me for.”
The truth is there was always an explanation for what happened, and it’s finally time for Caleb to come clean about it. To tell her he never stopped being in love with her. OK, I may have wanted to slap him a few times, and some of the story just didn’t fully add up for me, but… the feeling is there. It’s mixed with a lot of lust and a lot of blue balls (and lady blue balls, too), but it’s definitely there. As long as she can forgive him, as long as they both give in.

”There is no me without you.”
I loved the angst and the depth of feeling. I loved the sexy times. I loved the tension. I loved her relationship with his kids – it was endearing to see her bonding with them and how much she already felt like they were hers. I loved them both, together. He was a bit pushy, to be fair, but his heart was in the right place. I was thinking that Caleb got off kind of easy after what he did, until that final twist late into the book – it was heartbreaking.

I think the timeline was a bit hard to follow. I do love flashbacks, but these felt confusing at times. I also feel like some parts could have been more explored, and others a lot less.

”Everything that kept us apart was stripped away, and all that was left was us.”
Family is an interesting thing. Some you’re born into, and they're just not good enough. Some you have to create yourself, and that is often the best kind. As long as there’s love, and they have plenty of that for sure. They were both looking to belong, and after all they’ve been through, Evie and Caleb deserved their happily ever after, and they deserved to create their own family.
If you’re looking for a steamy, angsty book with some twists and turns, this may be just what the doctor ordered.

Second Chance Love (Second Chance, #4) (4)

When it comes to second chance romances, there’s one thing that I think we all ask ourselves as we’re preparing to go down this route. Is it worth it? Whatever happened in the past and the circ*mstances that were placed in front of them whether it was deliberate or just bad timing, we still ask that very same question. Is.It.Worth.It? Most of the time it is and when you feel you have that one in a million kind of love, you will do anything to get a second chance.

Falling in love with her older brother’s best friend was never in the plan for Evie but after one encounter with the older charming sports agent, she fell hard and fast. Unfortunately that love also came with a lot of hate and when you go back to the very beginning of their story, you’ll understand why.

Second Chance Love (Second Chance, #4) (5)

Now eight years later, Evie is facing a difficult decision with having Caleb back in her life. Her love/hate relationship with him has cost her more than her heart and she has no intention of trying to relive that kind of pain again. But you know what they say about your first love. No matter what you do, you never truly get over them and Evie is about to find that out.

Second Chance Love (Second Chance, #4) (6)

I really love a good brother’s best friend romance and when I saw that this was also a second chance, I couldn't get to it fast enough. I really liked the heroine and how she tried to do what was best for her. Knowing that there were other books in the series, I think I probably would've connected a little bit more to everyone but it just wasn't the case. Certain things felt a bit rushed and repetitive and I guessed the major plot twist very early on in the story. I think that if that wasn’t the case, I would have enjoyed the story more.

Aside from that, if you’ve read anything from this author then you know that she’ going to bring you all the angst and sexual tension like you wouldn’t believe!! If you’re a fan of this, then I recommend you give this one a try.

I swear M.Robinson was a better author than this. Before reading this series that is. This book was just trash. A hero that solves his issues with dirty talk and his dick. Almost every conversation involved him using some sexual innuendo. There is zero chemistry. Just an asshole that uses ‘ darlin’ or ‘sweetheart in every sentence. Ditched her, married her roommate, and were to believe he tripped into her ex, only twice and had two kids. Pulhease! Don’t let me get started on the heroine, Evie, just no backbone, doormat. Ms ‘He needs me’ was nauseating. This book was frustrating and I’m glad I dnfed it. No more M. Robinson in the near future…

Y'all she did it again! The queen of angsty second chances has come out swinging. This series keeps getting better and better. I obsessed over Julian, swooned over Christian, fell in love with Jax wholeheartedly.... and Caleb, well he did something to my heart. He wouldn't allow my heart to stop fighting for him. Despise it all - all the hurt, all the secrets and all the EVERYTHING!

Don't get me wrong, I didn't fall for Caleb's wicked tongue, his sexy dirty talk or all his 𝑫𝑨𝑹𝑳𝑰𝑵' this and 𝑫𝑨𝑹𝑳𝑰𝑵' that. Nope, this guy had his work caught out for him.

Evie was the perfect heroine. Man, this girl was feisty and went toe to toe with him. There wasn't a mellow moment between these two - either fighting in the sheets or out of them. Don't test her or you might just get something you aren't ready for stud!

AS always, this author was the potter and my emotions were her clay. I felt SO much while reading this book! Even with all the angst she allows her heroes to charm you. You root for them even if you wanna slap them. That's the best of both worlds and makes her one of the best! Evie and Caleb brought this story to life. You swooned with them and you felt every hurt they endured. The hope carried you when the light dimmed. Just perfect!!

Can't wait to see what else she has in store for us with this series. I am down for every hot and delicious minute of it!!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Second chance; brother's best friend
Angst: 😱😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

What an emotional roller coaster ride! When Caleb and Evie meet at 25 and 18, the attraction and emotional connection is immediate and all consuming. They spend a wonderful evening together - just for Caleb to find out she is his best friend's younger sister. He spends the next four years fighting his attraction to her... until Evie's roommate winds up pregnant - with Caleb's baby. Evie is devastated and does everything she can to not see him - and it works - for the next 8 years. Until it doesn't. Until Caleb's divorce is through and they hook up at Evie's brother's wedding. And now he's coming back to get what is his. Evie. But Evie vows to never fall for him again, but forced proximity is a dangerous thing and when Evie ends up the nanny to Caleb's two kids, he's going to do everything in his power to wear her down.

Good Lordy! Second Chance Love had the angstometer ticking on overload this entire book! Caleb is a steam roller. From an obscene privileged background, he is used to getting what he wants, when he wants, and he is not giving up. Dirty talking to the extreme and willing to get use anything in his arsenal to make Evie his again. He is the ultimate alphahole and you want to literally throttle him almost as much as Evie does. Evie is perfect for him. The optimist to his jaded pessimist. The soft to his hard, but not too soft. She refuses to roll over and let him break her again. The story is well written and moves quickly. The banter between them is fantastic and Caleb is a hero you'll be rooting for despite yourself, lol.

Up front, I do generally have a difficult time with brother's best friend romances, because it seems like the heroes are choosing their friend over the woman they could love. Like, there better be a REALLY good reason the brother can't realistically just get over it, especially if the hero chooses the brother after a deep, emotional connection is made with the heroine. Honestly, I didn't get that here, at least not for me. The mess could have been avoided with an up front confession. But that's me 🤷🏻‍♀️. Despite all that, I really enjoyed the book and am glad I was able to read Evie's story. The plot twist is going to leave you with your mouth hanging open for a good five minutes. Super satisfying because you KNOW something's coming, but there's just no way to guess that level of KABOOM 💥💥.

DNF. Just leave her alone Caleb.

I got to when he fires 15 nannies and as head of her agency she shows up to complete the job.

I'm not interested in them together. He has two children by her former roommate from college that really hurt her....now she's going to watch their kids... I bet Jax knows nothing.

Too many books being written to waste my time with Caleb as a "romantic" interest.

I am in love with everything about Second Chance Love by M. Robinson. The angst and heartache of a second chance romance. The forbidden push and pull and delicious tension of brother's best friend romance. The swoony goodness of single parent romance. Caleb Hawkins is a perfect alpha hero and Evie is a perfect sassy heroine. And this is their scorching hot, heartfelt and emotionally explosive journey.

Evie Monroe and her half brother NFL superstar Jax Monroe's best friend aka his agent Caleb Hawkins always had a tumultuous relationship. Caleb resisted but their secret connection was so irresistible. But then he broke her heart by marrying her roommate who was also pregnant. Years have passed and now he is divorced with two adorable kids Ariel and Ethan. And Caleb now wants to show her that he has never stopped loving her. His plan started when Evie is forced to accompany him and his kids to Spain as their new nanny. But he won't stop till Evie becomes his.

Caleb is the kind of intense alpha who makes you feel everything extremely. Extreme swoon because who can resist a single father..not this girl. Extreme hotness because his dirty mouth, gorgeous body and some jewelled surprises..Extreme emotions because this man can be so sweet and so alpha and so bossy all at the same time. He made me want to slap him a few times on behalf of Evie because he can be infuriating too. And Evie is his perfect match. Sassy. Stubborn. Fierce. With a beautiful heart. She loves deeply but that doesn't mean she will let Caleb's hurt and pain go so easily. I absolutely love to see a jealous possessive protective alpha to grovel and get redeemed. In true M. Robinson style, she delivered the angst and steam so beautifully. I was so involved with them that my heart almost could not take it. And the author put some super angsty twists those will break your heart but she will also mend it. They are soulmates and it was a very emotional story.

I couldn’t stop reading this story once I started. What an awesome great, we loved it from cover to cover! The characters were simply amazing. Caleb and Evies chemistry and passion for one another was incredibly beautiful. Loved their banter back and forth with one another can you see us grinning as well as the push and pull between them, Love is never easy, is it?

This story was filled with a ton of emotion. Love, trust and forgiveness. Caleb and Evies story took us on one heck of a rollercoaster ride, and we love being on every bit of it. Caleb had such a beautiful family, so many heart melting moments.

I’m a huge fan of second chance romance and this one definitely strikes all my boxes with what I love in a story.

That one-night stand between Caleb and Evie became a thing of the past when he finds out who she was. Caleb won’t allow Himself to fall for his best friend’s sister even if his restraints are pushing his limits hard.

Eve is such a great heroine. I love how she won’t take anything from anyone and their banter is so hilarious. The bet was definitely a twisted one, and I loved how it actually brought them closer. It also shows what kind of trust and feelings they both have towards each other and the friendship blooms into full steamy romance when the healing time is up.

M. Robinson delivers another great romance.

Second Chance Love is book four in the Second Chance series by this author. It is the first book that I have read, though. While it is okay as a standalone, I did feel that I could have benefited from knowing more about Evie and her brother’s relationship. Reading the third book in the series, Second Chance Scandal, might have helped.

This book is a second chance, age gap, brother’s best friend romance. Eight years ago, Evie and Caleb were having sex behind her brother’s back. Caleb is her brother’s best friend and his sport agent. Suddenly, Caleb dumped Evie and told her he was marrying her roommate and that he got her pregnant.

Now, eight years later, Caleb is back in her life and wants Evie back. His marriage is over. (From which he has two children.) I really didn’t like Caleb in the first part of the book. He is very crude and full of himself. Too much use of the word “darlin.” The things he says to Evie were just…yuck.

He seemed like a different person for the second part of the book- a complete behavior change. Suddenly, he was loving and sweet and desperate not to lose Evie again.

The twist was interesting and a little far fetched. I did like Evie’s relationship with Caleb’s children, so that added a half star to my review.

Thank you the author for my gifted copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Whaaaaaaaat a book! Omg it might be my favorite from the series! Be back with my review…wow & wtf!

Okay, now that my heart stopped racing, I'm back with my review. This story was everything. It is now my favorite in the series. Caleb, oh man. What can I say about him other than HOLY $H*T! M. Robinson has become one of my top favorite authors and I can’t believe I haven’t read her books since recently. She is an amazing writer and her stories blow my mind. Caleb and Evie’s story had my jaw hit the ground. What a rollercoaster of events I was not waiting for.

From the moment Caleb and Evie saw each other, they knew that they would change each other’s lives. Caleb thought he had everything he’s always wanted and didn’t do relationships, well that was until he met Evie at a college party. Just that one night with her had him changing everything he knew. He would give her anything and everything. He knew that she was made for him and only him and was going to keep her forever. Weeeeell that was until the next day his best friend introduced him to his little sister Evie.

Evie had seen a ghost. How is this happening? The one guy she took down her walls for and could see a future with was her half-brother’s best friend. And not only that her brother asked him to watch and protect her while he was away playing football. But the worst part of the whole encounter was that Caleb pretended to not know her, in front of her brother.

Throughout the years later the 2 of them could not stay away from each other. The chemistry and the connection they had for each other was not something they could stop feeling. Both knew that they were it for each other. Until one day Caleb said he was getting married. The guy that didn’t do relationships, was getting married. How? If I give you more it will ruin it for you, but trust me when I say, what you think is coming, is not. Caleb and Evie deserve each other. They are true soulmates, but when lies are said and trusts are broken, can they forgive and move on?

I couldn’t stop reading this book. Like I said above, my world was blown with what happened. I received this ARC for my honest review and opinion and I give it five stars. Go pre-order now!

Second Chance Love by M Robinson

That dedication though!!

One of the reasons why I love Robinson's books so much is due to the banter, the Hawtness and her broody alpha males!! I absolutely can not get enough...paired with the sassy, take no sh*t heroin...I just love it all!!

Of course as with all Robinson's angsty books.....you absolutely want to throw your kindle across the damn room. OMG I wanted to strangle Caleb sooo many damnnn times, I could scream!!!! Grrr..haha

But duddddde, Evie got him back...and it was for HER benefit...*wink..wink*...haha

Second Chance Love is 5 "Caleb did redeem himself" Stars!!! Robinson, I think this is one of your angstiest books I have read in a while and I will have to say Second Chance Love is one of my Fav top 5 reads this year!!!

This series has me hooked. Each interconnected standalone captivates me every time. M. Robinson has done it again and delivers us another great read with Caleb and Evie. This pair and their journey was angsty, sweet, sexy and with an uphill battle all rolled into one amazing book. The pain that was left in the past definitely made the effort Caleb put in worth it. He won Evie over and his kids definitely played a part. They left the pain in the past and got their second chance at a hea. This is a must read.

This is the one. This one is my favorite out of the whole series. I truly don’t think any of the other ones will beat it.

I want to give it more than 5 stars, but I can’t on here. But just so you all know.. this is waaay past a 5 star read for me.

I ate up Caleb & Evie’s story like it was my last meal & I have no regrets. Finished within 8 hours of starting it. I already wish I could go back & start it from the beginning. That’s how amazing it was!

Caleb & Evie meet at a party one night, not knowing who one another is. Unaware that their paths will cross once again, because they have a person in common who is important to the both of them.

Jax. Evie’s brother & Calebs best friend, that he works for.

Starting right away with some lies, they make it seem like they never met & Jax makes sure Caleb is looking out for Evie. Unaware, of course that the night before they were together in bed.

Fast forward, it’s Evie’s birthday party that caleb shows up to, with another women who announces their engagement. Crushing Evie’s heart to pieces, because the man she loves, who has been her dirty little secret for years, who doesn’t do relationships… is now engaged.

Almost a decade later, they find themselves apart of each others lives again.
Evie is the temporary nanny for Caleb’s two kids, Ethan & Ariel.
In close proximity, it’s hard to ignore the feelings that they both have.
Evie has trust issues now, she can’t trust Caleb, thinking everything he has ever said was just a lie to her.

The plot twist that happens was… 💀💀
I’m still shook.

The spice level is.. HOTHOTHOT.
The swoon level was high, I laughed, I almost cried a few times, this book has it all.
These characters really get you hooked from the beginning, especially the kids.

This is a HEA, both Caleb & Evie get their happily ever after.

I have absolutely no shame admitting that I woke up at 5 am started reading and didn’t stop till I was done! I will say it was well WORTH IT!!

Wow once again M drags my heart through the mud and plays with my emotions! M really created characters that you love to hate, hate to love but in the end redeem themselves even when you didn’t know it was possible!!

Caleb and Evie became my obsession. I couldn’t stop reading this story once I started. Their passion and love is unrivaled! I loved these two so much. Their push and pull, their banter all of it was fire! Evie balances Caleb out and he gets her out of her shell. Their destined for each other but Caleb has to show Evie that she can trust him.

The story does have some flashbacks but they don’t interfere with the story. The flashbacks truly add so that you understand all the feelings and emotions.

Worst book I’ve read this year. No groveling, she immediately forgives him for cheating, he has multiple children with the other woman and she still sleeps with him. No backbone, poor writing. There’s a time skip nearly every chapter. I’m 99% sure all the five star reviews are bots.

Second Chance Love (Second Chance, #4) (32)

Evie may have let herself fall for the biggest asshole ever, her brother's best friend and agent, Caleb, but that was long ago. She's over it now and has made herself into an entrepreneur, running a successful nanny agency. But now her biggest, most demanding client has come to threaten her if she doesn't find him a new nanny, he'll make her pay. Unfortunately, guess who that client is? Yep... now Evie has to steel her heart, and her body's instincts, against the man who broke her heart all those years ago. She won't let him do it again, but somehow he's getting to her. Is the second chance Caleb wants actually going to happen?

Second Chance Love (Second Chance, #4) (33)

Second chance stories are some of my favorite, but only if I feel as if both of the people in the couple deserve that second chance, as if he or she redeemed themself. Well, I don't think Caleb redeemed himself, but I like the story, I mostly liked Evie, and the angst was just enough to keep me interested. The ending felt a tad rushed, with the big twist coming too close to the end, though, so it made me just want a bit more of them in their future to give me that completed feeling. I will say that Caleb was a true alphahole, so if that's your thing, this is definitely the story for you. My personal tastes are an alpha who's less of an ass, so it kept this from being a 5 star read for me. The chemistry, the story, though, all good.

5/5 💫

I don’t even know where to start with this review! I went into Second Chance Love without any recollection of who the book was about. I’ve read the last three of the series (all interconnected standalones from my knowledge), and loved every single one, but when I started SCL, I couldn’t recall who it was about.

When I finally realized that it was Jax’s agent Caleb and Evie, I quite literally screamed because of excitement. M. Robinson does a great job setting the scene because I recalled them easily from the previous book, and even more so recalled their backstories and how excited I had been that these two were getting their own story.

Like the others in second chance series, this is a second chance romance (duh!) and one of the best!! Second Chance Contract was my number one M Robinson book, but I think this one times with it because Caleb and Evie are just that good.

The plot had me on my toes — I wanted to know what happened then, and what happens now. And of course, she delivered! I loved every single second. The dual POV and the back then/present point of views were incredible and everything matched perfectly!

I felt terrible for Caleb. He is such a sweet guy (and such a dirty talker — it’s so hot), and I love Evie (she’s adorable!!!), and I love how their personal pasts tied into the present/future as well! I sure hope we get to see more of them in the next second chance book (whoohoo, I love this second chance series!)

The spicy scenes were incredible (as usual), especially since every single alpha male that M Robinson writes about is dirty talking, charming, and even though they’re all different, whew, they all blow my mind away.

I loved every single second and know you will too! I highly recommend reading them all in order (Second Chance Contract, Second Chance Vow, Second Chance Scandal, and then Second Chance Love) for the full experience, and because all of the couples and characters are so memorable!

Special thanks to M. Robinson / her review team for the opportunity to review! All opinions are my own.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I have to say Second chance Love left a lasting impression on me, it's one of those books I will be taking about all year. Caleb and Eve's story wow I was not expecting that. I mean i wasn't a fan of Caleb when I found out he hurt Evie, but he's definitely redeemed himself in my eyes. I can't wait for Tristan next a hate relationship will be perfect lol.

Y’all I LOVE brothers best friends romances, so I was excited to read this book! But my goodness I was so dang frustrated (like too many times to count) reading this book. Whew. So many emotions.

This one was definitely spicyyyy but my god my heart was truly feeling it. I swear it broke at least 15 different times. This couple is the literal definition of a second chance romance. I felt for Evie so much throughout this story but Caleb definitely won my heart over at the end. He made some stupid ass decisions tho I swear I was screaming at him through my kindle lmao. he’s A SINGLE DAD TO TOP THINGS OFF AHH!!!! We love to see it.

Spice: 🌶🌶

Tropes:
Single dad
Brothers best friend
Billionaire romance
Second chance romance

Give me a break! This was just awful. He was sleeping with the heroine, keeping her a secret and then all of a sudden he got the heroine’s roommate pregnant, married her and went on to have two kids with her and want us to believe he only had sex with her twice in the marriage. There is no damn groveling just them having a hookup and him constantly dirty talking and I just cringe. After all that embarrassment that’s all he had to offer and the h wasn’t even better because she had zero backbone. DNF @20%

Can I just say how f*cking sick and tired I am of the heroines being DOORMATS!!!!! I want revenge f*cking for the h, with multiple people and for a long time and then I want the H to grovel like the piece of sh*t he is!!! Sometimes I even want the h to end up with someone else. Yep, I said what I said 🤬🖕🏽.

Update: So I finally finished the book and the ending was cute (and a little surprising). I’m upping the rating to 3 stars but I still stand firm on the whole doormat issue.

“You see, Evie Monroe. When you love someone, truly f*cking love someone, you put their needs ahead of yours. Even if it means, breaking their heart in the process.”
.
.
I was absolutely in love with our heroine. She is sassy - sarcastic - sexy. The “3-s”. She met our hero when she was only nineteen and he was twenty +, her roommate begs her to go in a party with her and eventually she agrees even though she is a book nerd and the sort of girl who doesn’t party.
Once she is in the party every other man has a eye for her but our hero is the first to approach. Abruptly our hero is called cause he is the alumni of the college and he has to leave leading a jerk to approach her, by whom she is roofied. She is passed out by the time our hero comes to her rescue. He beats the sh*t of the man and takes her home to take care of her.
That’s how they first meet each other but on the very second day, when she goes to see her half brother she never once thought something like this would have happened but our hero is not only his brothers best friend but also his sports agent. Each passing day and year one of the other tries to stay away from each other but there is this pull that keeps landing them in each other’s arm.

Soon something happens that leads our hero to marry someone else that leads to our heroine all heart broken. After eight years, when it’s her brothers wedding they hookup after few tequila which leads one to another.

After eight years of heartbreak, lies, betrayal, can she forgive him for what he did ?

PS : I f*ckin loved our heroine, no doubt she is the “3s”. The way she carried herself even through heartbreak was f*ckin commendable.
On the other hand, I just wanted to punch our hero. I was like WTF you doing dude ? You breakin her heart.
PPS: I m eager for Tristan, I want it now if possible 😂 also, I want some action scenes in your novel like you know girl getting hurt guy takin care 🥺😍❤️ I love that sh*t, so if it’s possible.

Evie and Caleb meet by chance with Caleb serving as her knight and shining armor. In the course of 24 hours they fall hard and fast with Caleb thinking about a relationship for the first time ever. But the next morning when Evie goes to meet her half-brother she meets his sports agent who is none other than Caleb.

Caleb can’t risk his job so he shutters his heart again. Despite vowing to stay away from one her they keep falling back into bed over and over. That is until Caleb pulls the rug out from under Evie and marries her roommate shutting her out of his life for what seems to be good.

Fast forward and Evie runs a successful employment agency while Caleb is divorced with two kids. When Caleb continues to scare away all the nannies she sends his way Evie has no choice but to step in at the last minute to fill the vacancy for a three month business trip to Spain. Evie is still heartbroken but Caleb is willing to do whatever if takes to win her back. But when the truth of what really happened in the past comes out can they finally get it right this time.

I got to admit I was very anti-Caleb at the beginning of this. I mean he seemed like a real piece of work and I didn’t know how he was going to win us over but as per usual M. Robinson worked her magic keeping us on the angst train till the very end when she gave us our faith back.

Caleb is such a growly hot protective alpha it’s no wonder Evie fell head over heels for him. And Evie was exactly what he needed to fix his work/home balance issues and give his kids the family they so desperately craved just like she did. They were a perfect pair.

I am so excited for Second Chance Rival as it has my fave tropes! I can’t wait for more angsty Second Chance goodness.

Thanks to M. Robinson & Wildfire Marking Solutions for providing me with an early copy to review!

I absolutely loved reading Second Chance Love.

I wasn’t sure of Caleb during the earlier scenes I must admit. However, by the end of this book I was completely in love with him. He’s hard working, successful, hot, kind, caring and protective of those who he loves. He is also human, and like any of us can make mistakes. I eventually adored his personality. He and Evie are perfect for each other and have this incredible back and forth which I found to be a highlight of this narrative. I was never certain how they were going to conduct themselves when in each other’s company, but the chemistry and attraction between them was always palpable and very often their interactions led to steamier scenes – which I loved.

Evie is a fabulous person. I love her relationship with Jax, and she really showed me her strength when revealing the history between her family and herself. I was so pleased that she became successful in her own right. A change of role sees her following a different path to what was expected and I loved this. What happens because of this change enabled some wonderful and heart-warming moments to develop in this story.

Second Chance Love is a story of families, friendships, lies, deceit, loyalty, heartache, mistakes and love. This narrative had me hooked from start to finish. There are unexpected twists and turns which I loved. There are characters that I absolutely adored and some that I detested, and they all played their supporting roles perfectly.

I highly recommend Second Chance Love to you to read. I would have liked to have learned the outcomes following a couple of the scenes in this book, but they may be revealed during Tristian’s story which is being released next. I award this novel 4.5 stars.
