*BUYER BEWARE* worst decision I ever did to trust bob

*BUYER BEWARE* worst decision I ever did to trust bob tyler Toyota to put me in a RELIABLE car. Just 3 days after knowing the car was messed up took it back up and said I was stuck with the car. Here I am a month later of purchasing the car and the ENGINE LONG BLOCK HAS TO BE REPLACED (the engine). Literally told me they replaced multiple things and fixed the cause of the engine light then days later the engine light cut back on and they just turned it off and told me not to worry about it and would not take the car back. They KNEW what was wrong with the car especially with the codes coming back as misfire cylinder 3 and sold me a car that was a ticking time bomb. I am absolutely DISGUSTED by how taken advantage of and lied to. I was. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE your business as they do not CARE about your well being. They knew the situation I was in with just being in a terrible wreck needing something reliable and here I am stuck with a 9,000 bill on a 20,000 car and they are not willing to do a thing or have the decency to even give a call back. This was absolutely wrong and I hope I can save someone else from being taken advantage of the same way I was. BOB TYLER IS A DISGRACE. UPDATE: it has been three months since I purchased the car and it has been in the shop waiting for the warranty company to approve the replacement of the engine, I am now responsible for the deductible and other charges for the repair of the vehicle. Yes it is less than the 9,000.00 above but the point and fact is BOB TYLER SOLD ME A CAR WITH COOLANT INTRUSION, the car was messed up when purchased and now I’m facing the consequences because of the vehicle they sold me and they are STILL not willing to help with any of the cost. DISAPPOINTING AND DISGRACEFUL of the service they have given me when making a car purchase. Please don’t not give these people your money or time.

I searched Fort Walton, Panama City, Tallahassee, Enterprise, Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, New Orleans and Jackson MS and found my used 2023 Subaru Ascent at Bob Tyler Toyota in Pensacola. BUT I HIT A HOME RUN when I got SAWYER MARTIN as my agent. WOW - who would think a guy at Toyota would have a working knowledge of a Subaru and better yet did not try once to convert me Toyota (maybe next time). This guy even came in on his day off to close the sale - convenient for me, but I suspect not so much for him, Ask for Sawyer - you won't regret what a blessing he will be!!

Bought a 2022 Carolla.

Bought a 2022 Carolla. Soon after that started getting a notice that I needed a service. It said my adaptive lighting had an issue. I took it in, first they said the couldn’t find anything wrong, second time they said my Sunpass transfer was in the way, third time once again no clue so they said an Engineer would need to see the car. So a week later I get the call. Hey, just want you to know we found the problem!! You don’t have adaptive lighting on that car! Wow, very poor mechanics if in 3 visits nobody could tell that my lights were not made to turn. I wasted a lot of hours on something they should have known immediately. Educated car technicians is a must!!!! I’m never taking my car there again

Poor experience at best..

Being charged for services that weren't done bothers me a LOT. Very poor customer service after finding out about it and got very little from my complaints to the service mgr. We have serviced 4 vehicles there and even bought one last year. I was going to be buying another Toyota early next year and it most assuredly won't be from Bob Tyler Toyota. To bad too, because the new Sequoia was top of my list...

Being charged for services that weren't done bothers me a LOT. Very poor customer service after finding out about it and got very little from my complaints to the service mgr. We have serviced 4 vehicles there and even bought one last year. I was going to be buying another Toyota early next year and it most assuredly won't be from Bob Tyler Toyota. Will not service Toyota purchased there.

Will not service Toyota purchased there. Dashboard says "Maintenance Required Visit Your Dealer". Is car safe to drive? They should not sell new cars they won't service. I guess I need to find another Toyota place to keep my warranty. I don't understand this.

I have been having a problem with my Highlander

I have been having a problem with my Highlander intermittently being hard to start and cutting off so I took it to O'Reilly's Auto Parts, where we had received a battery replacement that was the most expensive they sold, over $300. They tested the battery, starter, and alternator which were working perfectly. Their battery was for a start/stop system. When I took it to Bob Tyler to do a diagnostic they said the battery was wrong for a start/stop system and that was my problem. I paid them over $300 for a new one. I went back to O'Reillys and they put the tester on the Toyota battery which came out to be the exact same battery as the O'Reilly battery. Now I do not know if my car is fixed or not. There is a recall on the fuel pump that we did not receive in 2020 so I am thinking that is my problem. I am very disappointed that they were this dishonest so I will not go back to Bob Tyler. I will take it to Eastern Shore Toyota the next time. Someone told me that they are very honest. I surely hope so because I hate to be lied to and taken advantage of and I feel this is what Bob Tyler has done. Now I will have to find out what this recall is on the fuel pump.
